Glass is a solid-like and transparent material that is used in numerous applications in our daily lives. Glass is made from natural and abundant raw materials (sand, soda ash and limestone) that are melted at high temperature to form a new material: glass.

Glass can improve our lives in so many ways – helping to insulate us from the cold, protecting us from the sun's glare, reduce noise from outside and help keep us safe and secure. It can also contribute to increasingly important economic and sustainability goals.
